So I dont think its any secret that Cousins time in Washington has come to end. So if we look into our crystal ball there are a few teams that make a lot of sense for him to take a look at. Here are a few scenarios I could see playing out
Denver- The broncos are in real need of a QB and the reality is Cousins could do some real damage in the AFC west. With wide receivers like Sanders and Thomas at his disposal Kirk could find his why on the strong side of 4000 yds and 30 plus touchdowns. If he went there that would make a pretty good core 4 QB squad in Cousins, Carr, Smith and Rivers.
NY Giants- Is Eli done in NY? Thats the real question. It all depends on who the new coach that comes in is. Cousins is younger, has a stronger arm and has better pocket presence these days then Manning. With receivers like OBJ, Engram, Marshall and Shepard he has many weapons to choose from. The running game and O line need some improvement but it has to appeal to him to get a chance to stick it to the Skins twice a year if he leaves.
Pittsburgh- This seems like the best option for Cousins. With Big Ben more then likely to retire after this season Cousins would have weapons that he could only dream of. You have a head coach who is a players coach and would give Kirk some freedom to manage the game. Do we even need to speak about the running game? Leveon would give Cousin a tool he has never had and thats a running back that will keep defenses more then honest and allow him to chuck the ball downfield. Did I mention chuck the ball downfield? They have this guy named Antonio Brown, yeah he is pretty good if you havent heard of him. Throw in a dynamic receiver who enters his second year in JUJU and an outside threat in Bryant and you have what could be the most explosive offense since the Rams and Vikings in the early 2000’s. If Cousins goes to the Burgh on anything more then a 3 year contract other NFL teams are in big trouble.
